I just found this. It explains why zombies don't eat each other. You may be interested.

Greg, reading hurts my head, so I don't know if that explanation holds up or not. I just know sub-standard brains when I see 'em.

Zombie Tom - you know, you never really should work for brains.
I suggest finding some place where the people are slow, like the park. That way, you can have those brains that are attached to slow bodies.
I wasn't really gonna work. I was just gonna eat the brains of anyone who offered me work. Hell, just making the sign was more work than I generally care to do.
